Buffalo Grove, IL – The author of a resource for early childhood gym classes is pleased to announce the launch of his brand new book, which is designed to get students active.

The resource, entitled 28 Best Games and Songs for Early Childhood Gym:  A Guide to Teaching Structured Early Childhood Gym Class, is written by Cameron Edelman, a sports instructor and Recreation Supervisor from Illinois.  The book includes a wide variety of games and songs for early childhood gym teachers to use within their classes.

“Early on in my career I developed a passion for early childhood physical fitness,” says Edelman.  “I helped to create the early childhood gym curriculum for all of the preschool facilities in my company and feel there is no better feeling than seeing children’s’ excited smiles as they participate in a fitness program.”

With 28 Best Games and Songs for Early Childhood Gym, Edelman provides early childhood gym instructors with invaluable tips and tricks to teach successful classes.  The book includes 14 structured games and 14 engaging songs that are ideal for any gym curriculum or summer camp, ages 3-6 years of age.

“This book includes all of my favorite activities I feel are highly beneficial for any early childhood gym teacher,” states Edelman.  “Many I came up with myself and will be unique for both teachers and students.”

In addition to writing the book and working full-time, Edelman frequently participates in the Chicago Marathon, raising money for various charities in his area.  This year, Edelman has chosen to support the Lurie Children’s Hospital.

“This will be my 5th marathon and I am very excited to raise funds for such an important cause,” says Edelman.  “In fact, this cause is so dear to my heart that I will be donating 100%of the proceeds from this book to the Lurie Children’s Hospital, too.  I am hopeful that many early childhood gym teachers and summer camp instructors will buy this resource to help support children in need.”

28 Best Games and Songs for Early Childhood Gym:  A Guide to Teaching Structured Early Childhood Gym Class is Edelman’s first book and is published by Absolute Author Publishing House.
