The new version adds full support for macOS 13 by upgrading the app’s SSL and TLS email security protocols.

Toronto, ON, Canada – March 7, 2023 – Zevrix Solutions today announces Package Central 1.11.27, a maintenance update to company’s file collection automation solution for Adobe InDesign. Originally developed for a major publisher in the United States, the software automates InDesign document packaging by processing files from hot folders. The software offloads file collection to a central system leaving operator workstations free from the document packaging process.

The new version adds support for the TLS 1.2 security protocol used by SMTP servers for email encryption, which solves email delivery issues in situations where Internet server providers dropped support for earlier encryption protocols. The update also restores the ability to decode SMTP server passwords on macOS Ventura. In addition, the new version automatically assigns the host computer name to the activated license record, which simplifies software license management for multi-user Package Central installations.

Package Central solves the problem of centralized packaging and archiving of InDesign projects automatically in a workgroup environment while serving unlimited users on a network. The app lets prepress operators, designers, and production artists simply submit files to watched hot folders that reside on a network. The software then automatically collects InDesign files along with their fonts and links into the destination folder specified in the hot folder settings.

Package Central runs on a dedicated Mac workstation and watches hot folders for incoming InDesign files. The app performs all its tasks automatically and can run absolutely unattended. It offers the following key features and benefits:

Automatically collect InDesign files from hot folders

Automatic email notifications of process stages and errors

-Serve unlimited users on a network

-Compose variable folder names

-Create PDF and IDML files on the fly

-Detailed processing history

Pricing and Availability:

Package Central can be purchased for US$149.95 from Zevrix website as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for registered users. Package Central requires macOS 10.9-13 and Adobe InDesign CS6-2023.
