Sionic AI Accelerates Southeast Asia Expansion on Back of Technology-Driven Wins

Following MTEB No. 1 Ranking, Company Signs Thai Distribution Partnership and Advances Financial Sector PoC in Singapore

SEOUL, South Korea, September 21, 2026 — Sionic AI, an enterprise AI solutions company, is accelerating its expansion into Southeast Asia with a string of business wins in Thailand and Singapore.

AI adoption demand is growing rapidly among Southeast Asian companies, but high technical barriers and non-English language processing remain obstacles, particularly for financial, public-sector, and enterprise organizations facing strict data security regulations.

Global Benchmark No. 1: Sionic AI’s Core Technology

Sionic AI addresses these challenges with its Storm Platform, a no-code environment where employees can design, deploy, and manage custom AI agents using simple natural-language queries.

Its core technology, Storm Parse, is a high-precision document parsing engine that analyzes each document’s format and applies the optimal parsing technique. It preserves complex hierarchies and context as a human reader would, converting documents into RAG-optimized data. Paired with Agentic RAG.

Sionic’s proprietary search engine that connects scattered regulations and reasons through exception conditions beyond simple keyword matching, it significantly reduces hallucinations.

Handling of non-English languages and industry-specific terminology is another differentiator. Sionic’s embedding model, comsat-embed, ranked first in both Retrieval and Reranking in the Korean and Japanese categories of the Massive Text Embedding Benchmark (MTEB). The company can also tune industry-specific models to customer needs.

In addition to SaaS, Storm supports on-premises and private cloud deployment to ensure full data governance, a key factor for security-sensitive institutions in finance and the public sector. Its customers include IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, LS Securities, Samsung E&A, and Hyundai Motor.

Partnership with a 24-Year Thai Distributor

Sionic entered the Thai market by supplying a Thai-specialized language model and its AI agent platform to cloud service provider Siam AI.

In August, it signed an official partnership with Blue Zebra, a Thai value-added distributor (VAD) with 24 years of experience serving Thailand’s government, military, and financial sectors. Immediately after signing, the two companies discussed a collaboration roadmap at Blue Zebra’s Bangkok headquarters and held joint meetings with prospective customers and sub-partners. Earlier this month, Blue Zebra executives visited Seoul to discuss a concrete deal pipeline. Separately, Sionic is in talks with large Thai institutions that have significant on-premises demand.

Sionic was also selected for Global Startup Hub 2026, a program run by Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA) in cooperation with Seoul Startup Hub. Through the program, it received commercialization funding from Seoul Startup Hub, Thai market-entry consulting, and networking and IR pitching opportunities with local companies and investors. At SITE 2026, it held demo meetings with five corporate venture capital firms (CVCs), including Krungsri Finnovate, to explore business and investment opportunities.

Singapore Financial PoC and Major Exhibitions

In Singapore, Sionic is running a proof of concept (PoC) with a local financial partner and continuing meetings with partners and customers, including a major system integrator. Financial institutions’ strict data security requirements have created strong demand for solutions that can be deployed on-premises. Sionic will exhibit the Storm Platform at Tech Week Singapore 2026 at Sands Expo on September 29-30, and has meetings scheduled with local financial institutions during Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) in November.

Sionic said that technology proven in Korea’s strictly regulated financial and public sectors is translating into demand from Southeast Asian markets with similar requirements. Leveraging multilingual parsing, Agentic RAG, and local partnerships, the company aims to become the No. 1 enterprise AI company in the region.
